We went for dinner on a saturday night. We hadn't booked anywhere but picked it because there seemed to be a fair few tables available.
When we got in we were told it'd be a 45 min wait so we went to another pub then came back about half an hour later then went & sat at the bar upstairs. But it was about another half an hour til we got a table (so hour wait in all). When we did get seated, the service was slow and we noticed a number of empty tables around. More people who had been waiting upstairs were sat at them as time went on so it felt to us like they make you wait for no reason as there are plenty of seats (is this to get you to spend more at the bar?)
We each had a starter and a main. The food was good & the portions huge at a decent prize. I couldn't eat it all. I had fajitas which were really nice with a lot of meat.
Overall, food was good but waiting times let it down. The upstairs bar is cute though.
