Hubby and I were visiting York today and came across this wonderful little restaurant. It's a quirky yet contemporary venue and felt cosy without looking like it was trying to. We both fancied a steak, so ordered the Yorkshire 28 day aged sirloin, 'cooked' blue to perfection, extremely tasty and melt in the mouth. We also had a bottle of Chilean cabernet sauvignon which was also very tasty and complimented the steak wonderfully. People may think the steak is overpriced at £19.50 but you get what you pay for! Service was just right - staff were attentive without hovering and the meal came in good time. We will definitely visit again next time we're in York!
