The Bronte is in an excellent position for exploring the city of York as its only about an easy 10 minute walk to the city walls. It's a very comfortable home from home with welcoming hosts and a delicious fresh cooked breakfast We stayed in room 3 which had a comfy double bed and a spacious on suite shower room. There was tea and coffee making facilities that were replenished each day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Bronte to anyone and hope to go back in the near future

This guesthouse was wonderful! We were warmly greated by Mick and he showed us straight to our room even though we arrived quite early (around 12pm) which was lovely. He also pointed out the main attractions on a map, gave us a rundown of breakfast and showed us the shortest route to the train station. Our room was an interior double but it didnt feel that way with two large mirrors, a desk, tv, tea and coffee making facilities and a clean and spacious bathroom with an extra large shower. The bed in the room was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at a hotel so that was a fanatastic suprise. Breakfast is also wonderful, freshly cooked to order with options ranging from a full English breakfast with all the trimmings to omlettes, cereals, yoghurts and fresh fruit salad. The guesthouse is a ten to fifteen minute walk out of the town centre depeneing on your walking speed but the facilites are impressive so you hardly notice! Definately somewhere to recommend!
