“Quality not up to scratch”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

We visited this cafe based on the reviews from tripadvisor, and must say we were disappointed. On entering the cafe at least half of the tables and the counter were covered in dirty plates, even though the cafe was not busy at the time.

The service was good and I have no complaints there but we expected the food to be better. We ordered two cups of coffee, both decent. We had one cheese panini, the bread seemed cheap and the cheese had no flavour, it was also supposed to contain mushrooms and onion but these were sparse. This was served with tortilla chips (5 Doritos) and some salad. We also had a chicken salad sandwich which was ok but seemed to have margarine and nothing really stood out.

This cafe is obviously locally run and would like to visit again, but it seems like the menu is too big. It would be better to make fewer options but with better ingredients than try to offer too much. The cakes that we could see on offer looked exactly like those available in Costco.

We may have just had a bad experience and I would like to see this cafe do well, but improvements need to be made.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 9, 2013 via mobile

Wow! Popped in for a brew and bacon Sarnie, you can tell the bacon is free range and the bread was to die for. Brew great as well.
Staff and owner were really lovely, smiley and helpful.
Massively recommend the breakfast menu, really chilled atmosphere and great value for money.
Don't walk past this gem of a cafe!
