Fab day at the races for the ebor festival. Lots to see, fantastic people watching dressed to the nines! Was very busy and a tiring day but we loved it. Staff very friendly and everything well organised. Only bug bear is the food and drinks are very expensive! All in all a great day out but take plenty of cash!!!

Visited for the Ebor Ladies Day and were in the County Stand. Lovely racecourse with lots of facilities and everything very well organised, from the buses outside the station to free race cards. Lots of bar staff, betting areas and, most importantly, ladies loos! Plenty of places to view from and nowhere was too crowded. We had a great day there and will definitely be back.

Wonderful day at the Ebor festival. Staff very helpful and friendly. Quick service at the bars and food outlets. Only mini moan is the no drinks outside rule!! Even thou we were given plastic glasses we had to remain indoors to watch the races.

At the end of day it was very well controlled with stewards leading the way out of the grounds safely and again helpful to those who weren't quite as familiar with the area.

Thank you for a great days racing.

Visited York Racecourse for the Nunthorpe, it was a very busy day as expected,
We were in the County Stand, lunch was taken on the 5th floor, Carvery priced at £9.85, my wife said this was delicious with choice of meats, plentiful veg and a lovely Yorkshire pud, I went for the seafood platter priced at £13.85, this was lovely and included Salmon, Smoked Salmon, Prawns, Squid, Mackeral and more,
Drinks were really reasonable, a pint of Guinness and a large glass of wine was £8.00 in the Shirley Heights bar (5th floor) and I'd guess this is the same in other bars,
Having visited many racecourses what sets York apart is how the staff treat their customers, it's first class and many other courses should try to copy their lead, from the ticket collection through to all the bars and restaurants, the staff are brilliant,
A special mention to the lady with the perfumes in the ladies on the 5th floor (not from me I should add) my wife said such a lovely lady,

Thank you York, you didn't disappoint.

If you want to pay through the nose to hang round with wannabe toffs and queue for ages for over priced beer then go for the county stand. Away from the rip off stand we found real ale cheaper than in the rip off - of course the security apes won't let you take beer from one part of the course to another.... Wonder why....?? And there was more space further from the rip off.

Best advice though would be don't go at all and spend your money in some of the many better attractions, bars and restaurants elsewhere in York
