Stayed as family of four in September. Had booked double and twin rooms but were put in separate buildings of the hotel - odd but not a disaster. Double room had no air conditioning so was very stuffy, even with window open. Apparently the heating had been turned on so air-conditioning would not work - odd. Twin room was good. Had problems getting internet to work, but staff did their best to help. Otherwise, great location, so close to the city. Had an excellent meal at Akbars in George Hudson St. Had no difficulty getting parking round the back (paid). If visiting York again I would probably try Blossom South instead.

i stayed here with my partner on the 20th october,
friendly check in- room 2102- if you get this room do change- over looks the bins and fans.

we origninally though had booked the wrong hotel and wanted to stay at the one next door where we had stayed before.

anyway through the costa cafe we went to check in, which was sightly bizarre.
when we had returned from a night out, we found that we were kept awake by the kick out of the pubs. at one point there was a group of people outside our room and were with a bouncer who was trying to move this young girl away from the property and seemed to be kicking off with the group she was with.

this was then followed by other guests vacating and the doors slamming with subsequently made our whole room shake.
my partner did ask for late checkout that morning as i hadn't slept. but obviously had not informed the house keeper who knocked on the door three different occasions loudly awaking me and asking if i was leaving yet.

next time will stop at the blossom street south.

We stayed for one night we arrived early and were pleasantly surprised our room was ready to check in. A really good sized modern room with a large comfortable bed. The location was great as was the breakfast and service would definitely recommend.

Stayed for three nights. Chose this hotel for convenience as it was close to train station - 5 min walk.Never used a premier inn before so wasn't expecting much to be honest, however pleasantly surprised.Clean comfortable room, huge comfortable bed, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast good value for money however evening meals could have been better. Overall an enjoyable stay and will visit again soon.

Stayed for 2 nights - short break in York. Room was clean and fresh with usual huge bed and choice of pillows. Family room but teenage son's bed was quite small! Would probably suit small child better. Best aspect of room was how quiet it was - very peaceful inside and outside hotel. Had good night's sleep. Only 5mins walk from railway station, so very handy. Didn't take long to walk into centre of York either. Would recommend to families wishing short, value for money break in York.
