Lovely staff on reception, very helpful and accommodating. The room is fresh and modern. It's central so noise from the road - to be expected really. Bring earplugs! Great price and in the city. All round excellent overall.

Great place to stay, rooms as expected for a Travellodge. Short stroll into city centre for shopping and nightlife. Not far to walk to the Minster either. Breakfast area light and modern with good selection of foods available

Travelodge at Micklegate in York is Excellent. My friend and I stayed there for 2 nights and are again delighted by the quality of this hotel. Immediately from Check in until departure, all staff were a delight to speak with. Facilities were good, tea / coffee in room, nice tv and we were located in Room 218 at the rear of the hotel, lovely and quiet with a reasonable view......Location is perfect, 10 minutes walk from the railway station and 5 minutes from the centre. Only downside for me was that the pillows provided were a little hard, but I lived with this as we were only staying a few nights. For cash paid of circa £70 per night for the room ( £35 EACH!!! ), this was great. We chose to eat at other venues as we wanted to experience the dining delights of YORK!!! Keep up the great work here.

We visited York over the christmas break and stayed in this hotel, there is no parking at the hotel but you can get 33% off at the ncp around the corner if you validate your parking at the hotel, the hotel is located well for a visit to the city and everything is just a short walk away, the room was clean but beds are missing from what is shown on the photos and the room is relatively simple but it is a travelodge however this claims to be a travelodge plus so you’d expect something closer to a premier inn for value, the room was spacious enough and there is a tv and coffee/tea making facilities with a bar/restaurant downstairs, on arrival it was extremely understaffed and the girl on reception was doing her best to help. There was also a technical issue which meant they couldn’t issue key cards but the girl on reception let us into the room and told us to let her know if we needed back in and to come back for a key later which was fine, so we went out exploring the city, on returning there was a different staff member and we asked for extra pillows and a duvet and sheets which should have been included as we specified there would be three of us, these never arrived also the bathroom smelt of raw sewage, other than this it’s an affordable hotel in a good location, I’d probably spend a bit more and go elsewhere next time but this does a job

We stayed at this lodge as it had 20% off after the new year. We are really glad we booked it. It is central, very friendly and the staff are amazingly helpful. It has a bar and a restaurant. We had breakfast ( which is a first ) ! buffet with unlimited coffee. Enjoyed our stay.
