“Something different”
Reviewed June 14, 2014

We booked this in advance and saved £3 but it's worth the full price.
The guides are great and involve you in the history throughout. Free samples and a chance to make your own bar of chocolate at the end of the tour finishes it off nicely

“Fabulous visit for all ages - big WOW”
Reviewed June 11, 2014

I took a group of Seniors between 65 and 85 on a trip to this attraction. Despite all of us living within 30 minutes of it for years, none of us had been before. We followed a previous group of primary school children and their teachers with a 15 min gap between us.
The history and sheer professionalism of the staff and the attraction are amazing and the varied samples though the ages during the tour quite an eye opener.
Our guide was so enthusiastic and professional it significantly enhanced the trip and we all made a chocolate bar each to bring home - yummy.
Don't be put off by its city centre location or shop frontage. Its a real tardis inside, has a lift if required and is a MUST GO TO ATTRACTION IN YORK.

“A Yummy addition to a lovely day in York”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

Cannot stress how much we enjoyed our experience here. Went for daughters birthday in June 2014, (she's 8 son is 14) every member of staff was lovely. Our tour guide Dougie was fab and he did a great job educating us in the best possible way on the history of chocolate. The surroundings and place itself was yummy.

Despite some bad reviews on here last year about non value for money and a 20 minute experience (which did not put me off wanting to visit), none of these were the case at our visit, our time spent there was1.5 hours, for 4 of us pre booked on line) it came in just over £30 which I thought was great value.

A lot of thought has gone into this project the environment and the way it flows, don't discount that folks, I think it delivers the chocolate story and does York and Rowntree/Terrys proud.

Our kids left with very content and the education will stay with them I would think as it was done in the most enjoyable way!

A great way to pack a few hours into a visit in the lovely York, especially with a family!

Bravo!
