Description: We're just a little family run local cafe We're only small, but if you don't mind sharing a table, there's room for everyone We don't have table service and we don't have paper menus. (our menus are written up on the wall and they change regularly) The kitchen closes at 3pm, but you can still get coffee and cake after this time We are not part of a chain, there is no CEO creaming off the profits. We are just a little cafe doing our best, with the best ingredients we can get our hands on Guardian Top 50 Breakfasts UK 2017 The Times Top 25 2016 Buzzfeed Top 17 Things to Eat Before You Die Good Food Guide 2017 Hardens 2017 “It’s a bit of a squash, but once you’ve got in, you’ll get some excellently prepared local stuff” Now, lower your expectations and come on down!

“great food and service”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

been going for several months, mostly on Saturday mornings for breakfast. Haven't been disappointed with the service or food. Alway a friendly atmosphere and sharing tables with other customer is a unique setup usually that you don't find in UK much but works well in Pig and Pastry.

“Chilled out breakfasts”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Arrived at about 10 with a couple of friends and ended up whiling away nearly the whole afternoon sat on the picnic benches outside this delightful cafe. All our breakfasts were delicious- I had the chorizo and scrambled egg which was divine. Reasonably price for the quality. I would definitely return.

Great little place with great food and drink very desirable but very in demand so short on space so a tad clicky. Doing a fab job well done.

“Highly recommend and worth it”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

Great breakfast spot, if you can get in the door! Excellent selection of breakfasts both hot and cold variety. Had eggs Benedict and was delicious. Cakes , pastries and deli available all of which looked lovely. Prompt service despite full restaurant. Well worth a look

“fantastic for private dining too”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

I've had the good fortune to use their private dining twice this year. Julia was a delight to work with, very relaxed and stress free. Although you have to bring your own drinks, staff will happily pour and set up wine coolers on the bar. The busy day time tables are put together to create two larger tables and can be decorated to your own tastes. And of course the food. . .a choice of five set menus that cater for all tastes, which can be tinkered with too. My friends and I loved the chicken and tuna with perfectly cooked seasonal veg. . .and the roasties were divine. A truly brilliant place for a family gathering or a work do (both of which I be done).

All excited now as I'm going there for breakfast; waffles, banana and syrup with an illy coffee. Heaven sent!
