A group of 7 friends stayed at this lovely guest house on he outskirts of York city centre. The hotel was lovely, very quaint set in tree lined street. Small car park at the rear of the building served our needs. We were greeted by the owners a lovely friendly couple. Our room was lovely, 3 shared a room with a 4 poster bed and twins with en- suite facilities. Towels & tea coffee making facilities plus bottled water. The room was very comfortable and the beds spacious.
Dining facilities were very nice and high quality freshly cooked breakfast options. Here is a bar downstairs where wines beers and spirits can be enjoyed in the comfortable lounge area.
All the staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful. The walk into the centre of town takes 15 mins. A taxi cost £5 into town. As we were attending the races this was a great location.
There are many restaurants to eat at in the town centre but on race days pre- booking in advance is advised.More
