“Only from the outside...”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

Well worth seeing, even from outside. Astounding building, and very photogenic! The green spaces around the Minster were unexpected, and it's set so beautifully, right in the centre of the city. Glad I've seen it at last!

“Spectacular minster”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

The architecture and stained glass windows was something to behold. Just to stand and stare at the wonder of the building, who couldn`t be in awe of it. The computers available to look at the window that is away for renovation was an excellant idea.

“the minster and tower”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

we went up the tower something we were told was a must it was amazing but as the posters state you have to be fit to do it. The only downfall was the price as we visited with 2 sons plus girlfriends we didn't fit into a category and therefore had to pay full price which was very expensive for 6 of us.

“Rainy day visit.”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

The cost of £10 could put you off. Children go in free. The ticket once bought is valid for a year. Friendly staff, guided walks, crypt, underground exhibit (stayed in ages), orb with eye to eye finished glazed stained glass windows amazing. WOW of a building.

“Too much to take in”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

Start in the undercroft, which gives an excellent multi media presentation of the history of York and the Minster, interactive stuff for the kids too. Take a free guided tour, you get to see and understand so much more. Attend Evensong, it's a piece of theatre that's full of C of E history. You will be overawed by the scale of the place
