The chap knew his stuff. Very informative. Also not expensive and you get to taste the beers after the tour. The bar area has a certain charm and was great!

Good relaxed microbrewery tour just right on wet July afternoon!
We took 2 teenagers & even they found it entertaining which is very tricky at 15yrs old these days!! Good value for money especially on York pass.

we had a fantastic tour of York Brewery. The tour was very laid back but the chap showing us around seemed to know all the ins and outs of the brewing process and was happy to answer questions. The inclusion and two free beers helped too!

Well worth a visit if you’ve a couple of spare hours. It isn’t the biggest brewery but the intimacy makes it very interesting. Having visited many breweries over the years I suspected that I’d have little to learn but I was wrong, our guide was full of snippets that kept you interested throughout. We were on the first tour of the day and it wasn’t very busy but the second one certainly was. Cheap to get on the tour (£6/£5) and a free pint thrown in – bargain! I’m now a York Brewery convert which I suspect is the plan!

We were up in York for the event at the NRM and came upon the York Brewery after chatting with fellow train bods & checking the CAMRA Fbook site...Glad we did! On one of the hottest days of the year, our guide Neil ably kept the info coming and the humour flowing so we barely even noticed the heat....Ive done many brewery tours in the UK and abroad, but this one was right up there with the best...if not the best! Too often they can descend into self indulgent, self congratulatory ramblings whilst everyone else stares at characterless stainless steel pipes and tanks...but not York Brewery's...everyone was kept moving and engaged at each stage - Great Value, Great Education and Great Entertainment!...Thanks Neil...
