“The best Christmas tree ever”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

The Christmas tree in St Helen's Square is my absolute favourite. It's classy and clearly the thousands of lights on the tree must take an age to put on. Its worth the effort as it is the best Christmas view in the city

“Busy and exciting”
Reviewed August 16, 2012

This is really central to York and has a few 'attractions' off it in terms of wine bars and pubs which you certainly shouldn't miss. Just a little way from City Screen Cinema too, which houses the Riverside Bar and Cafe - a good place to sit outside on a sunny day. A place to people watch, but beware of hawkers with joke books.
