We stayed at Middletons during a two night trip to York. The hotel consists of a number of historic buildings surrounded by gardens. It is in a good location near the river and about 10 to 15 minutes walk into the centre of town and York Minster. There is a car park which costs £10 per night and the car park is fairly small.
Our room was very comfortable with coffee and tea making facilities, towelling robes and a safe. However the bathroom could do with upgrading. Rather scruffy, scratched bath, shower curtain rather than a screen and no shelves.
I must mention Paul who greeted us at reception and showed us to our room. He was extremely helptul and knowledgeable about the area. He gave us some excellent tips on where to go and what to see. Tour guide par excellence!
