Stopped here for some late breakfast on a sunny morning. We sat outside by the river and didn't go into the pub at all so can't comment on that. Breakfast was average, the scrambled eggs and bacon were quite good, the sausages were OK, the tomatoes tinned and the coffee wasn't great, fairly tasteless, luke warm and spilt in the saucers. Reasonably priced. The service was friendly and the Lowther is in a pleasant riverside location.

ordered a chicken and bacon panini each - 1 peice of bacon (poorly cooked) with about a fork's worth of chicken,no cheese or mayo for £6.40. A waterfront location is what they're trading on. Have a bag of crisps it'll fil you up more.

Looks can deceive. From the outside looked like a good real ale pub, but inside found a generic establishment promoting cheap drinks, run by kids and with disgusting toilets.

Looks good from outside, Riverside location promises much. Inside, very poor. Ripped seats, filthy Loos. Bad atmosphere. Heavy on alcopop promotion. Oh well..
