Visited this restaurant today when visiting my Daughter who is at Uni at York. The restaurant had been recommended to my Daughter. It was very quiet when we went only a couple of tables being used.We opted for the £11.99 buffet. For that we had poppadoms with 7 different chutneys, pickles etc. We then had starters which consisted of samosas, onion bhajis, lamb chop and chicken. We were then able to help ourselves to the buffet where there were 2 types of rice, several curries including chicken, lamb, beef, fish and vegetables. There were about 10 choices in all. You can go up as many times as you like although there is a notice up saying if people leave a lot of food there will be a £2 surcharge. The food was lovely, couldnt complain about anything. The service was good as well. There wasnt really an atmosphere in the restaurant but this was probably due to the time we went which was 5pm Sunday but it is worth a visit

Over the years we have eaten several times at Jinnah so our expectations were raised to expect a good meal . However on this occasion, we were very disappointed. The Korma I chose was virtually inedible it was so sweet and the sauce was dreadful while my partner's roganjosh was neither spicy nor hot and looked as if it had been heated up several times over. Service was slow and inattentive and there seemed to be some tension between some of the waiters. When we complained about the quality of the meal, we were given some money off the final bill which we appreciated but what we really wanted was a good meal .We will be giving Jinnah a miss in the future.

My husband and I have visited a number of times and every time the standard is extremely high. The staff are happy and friendly. We love the Buffett nights as the courses available are exceptional value for money, varied in choices available and of excellent quality. Jinnah has quickly become our first choice of eating out and with Farook heading the front of house staff he never fails to make every customer feel special.

This restaurant is large and buzzing. From the moment we arived we felt welcomed. We ordered the buffet that's there seven days a week, and compared with some others I've seen, the choice was great - starting with an enormous pile of papadums and eight or more pickles, to the huge range of main courses. The waiting staff were nonetheless very attentive (despite the stag party on a nearby table), and the quality was good too.
