What a charming little street with wonderful shops and great atmosphere. The near touching Tudor windows give that charming but wonky feeling, they don't build building like that anymore

“Worth a visit”

This is a quaint and quirky little street with some interesting little shops. Steeped in history and has the same feeling as walking Edinburgh's royal mile. Can be very busy but lovely for a stroll.

“The Shambles”

Went and wandered The Shambles a few times whilst in York and both my mother and I were charmed with the old buildings but we did expect a bit more from the shops themselves.

Worth a look if you've got some time in York.

Well worth a visit, very individual shops and they even do a ghost hunt every evening if that is what takes your fancy
