Great value, especially as kids go free and the ticket lasts a year. The Victorian street is the star attraction but there is enough interactive exhibits and little quizzes to keep everyone interested.
I think families with young children need to be aware that the dungeon part of the museum can seem very scary. My granddaughter was very reluctant to go through and as I couldn't find an alternative route, we rushed through.
The cafe was underwhelming though the children's picnic bag was good value but we had to wait for the sandwiches to be made and they didn't have the muffins. I wouldn't eat there again but would recommend a visit to the museum to anyone visiting York.
