“Evensong is great at York Minster”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

Makes a lot more sense to me to go into the Minster as a worshiper than as a tourist. Tourists do pay, but Evensong actually is the opposite: the visitor is rewarded for coming with great music and the wonderful book of Common Prayer service.

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

We have by passed this attraction in York for years and don't know why. We visited a few days ago and were more than impressed with the building, room and furniture inside. It is inexpensive to get in and the staff were the most friendly and knowledgeable I have ever come across all of whom seemed to love the place. The ceilings are out of this world and are the best I have ever set eyes on. Well worth the visit when in York and once paid you can visit for free on production of your ticket for a year.

“This is a fabulous place to visit.”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

This is a fabulous place to visit, with lots of rooms to look in, and some real treasures on display.
Staff are very friendly, and knowledgeable.
The cost of admission entitles you to free return visits for a year, and as displays change regularly, you can visit several times for the original entry fee.

“Architectural masterpiece”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

This is one of the finest Georgian townhouses in England. The interior is furnished in 18th century grand style. There is a fully stocked kitchen with rabbits and game hanging on hooks -very realistic!
