“Expensive”
Reviewed December 21, 2013

We visited with 3 adults and a child, although the café is in a good location in the museum we found it very expensive, the quality did not match the prices! plus the coffee was not very good. Disappointing.

A must for train enthusiast however if you have chid mad on trains like me it was brilliant nice and clean and informative enough for the age range and still interesting for those not so into trains.

“A great day for all.”
Reviewed December 18, 2013

Great place to visit with friends and family. One doesn't need to be a train aficionado to enjoy your visit, just soak in the marvel of engineering, the might and power of the engines and fall in amazement at the power of British Industrialisation. With so much to see and do, you will be emerged in history both British and foreign alike. Marvel at the sleek and beautiful Japanese bullet train, or explore through carriages of yesteryear.

“Great for kids of all ages!”
Reviewed December 18, 2013 via mobile

Fab place for an hour or a full day out. Loads to do and see and usually some great themed activities over school holidays to get the kids involved at all levels and ages. Take a picnic for indoors or outside (seating not a problem) and it is a real value day out.

“Excellent for children!”
Reviewed December 18, 2013

We took a 2 year old and she loved walking in and out of the trains, the footbridge and doing all of the interactive bits dotted around. They also had a soft play area which opened in the afternoon for children. We ate here too, a large bowl of soup and then cake - delicious and not too expensive either. Recommend to families.
