“The Ghostfinder General”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2013

Trevor's ghost walks are excellent - I've done two now. Great atmospheric locations, and a nice bit of history thrown in. Trevor's very personable and invites everyone back to the excellent Old Starre Inn, presumably to calm their nerves!

I've read the other reviews on here, and the bad ones really don't reflect my experience; people really are being pointlessly harsh.

I'd definitely do another one.

“Never been a Ghost Walk.......”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2013

Paid £6 for this so called Ghost Walk and was left extremley dissapointed.....We first went to the outside of the minster and stood there for over 30mins while Mr Rooney bleated on about things totally unrelated to ghosts... we then moved on to a building round the corner and stood for another 30 mins and listened to a bit of history and a bit of nonsense ... by this time everyone on the tour (around 100 ) people were all getting extremely bored and restless and a number of people walked off the tour .... we followed shortly after because we couldn't stand listening to him any longer.... nothing scarey or ghostly at all ...

“time for this tour to give up the ghost!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013

if you want to spend your dosh on listening to the bitter & jaded rants of a man seemingly dressed as a pirate, then go right ahead & roll-on up to this tour... trevor seemed more passionate about shouting put-downs at the competing trade then he did about relaying any ghost stories or historical facts (3-4 tales in the hour, many more rants about taxes, pirate boats & the competition)... the most entertaining aspect of this whole experience was reading the particularly accurate tripadvisor reviews after the fact (the same reviews we wish we'd read before we parted with our £s)... sorry trevor, but this is not "the competition" trying to put you out of business, just yet another dissatisfied customer...

“If you have no sense of humour, don't bother.Awesome.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013 via mobile

As said in previous reviews he was late but only by 5 minutes. After taking everyone's payment, he took us all around some of the haunted and historical spots in York telling stories which were interesting, a little bit spooky and incredibly entertaining. This guy was lovely, got involved with the group from the word go, and stayed around afterwards to talk to everyone. Even invited us all to the pub with him. I'd advise him to anyone.

“Fabulously Fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 19, 2012

We as a family have been with Trevor on fabulous walk, it was thrilling, very entertaining and was full of amazing historic information graphically explained in a very theatrical manner. We would recomend this to any-one who,s looking for a great tour of York.
