a great hotel in a superb setting where service seems to really count. Our visit to the hotel with the races the reason for visiting ,turned out to be a very good two days well worth a repeat visit. Even the central booking system turned out to be second to none. The staff could not have been anymore helpful and the room, was very clean and tidy. Breakfast in the courtyard was a wecome surprise as the weather was just right.
We will definitely visit again.

Extremely attractive house with lovely gardens, good car park free of charges. Hotel has high standard of staff, very professional and attentive. Good location, easy access inbto town just 5 mnts of frequent buses, stop right outside and opposite. Rooms pleasant with comfy bed, teas made. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone not wanting to stay in expensive and busy town, Would stay again if visited York.

Good value hotel in Fulford and there's a bus service every ten minutes into the Centre of York so it's conveniently located .The two staff on reception when booking in were so enthusiastic and helpful it was like a breath of fresh air ,Shannon and Connor. We were placed in an apartment situated opposite the hotel, choice of two, which was well appointed, very clean, with everything to hand. We had drinks in the courtyard which was quiet, even with a wedding party in full swing. We didn't dine here in the evening but went to the excellent pub called The Plough just across the road. Breakfast was freshly cooked and very good, service again excellent
Best western at its BEST

Lovely hotel on the outskirts of York. 30 minutes walk along the river and you are in town. Or there are buses directly outside the hotel every 10 minutes. We usually walked in and bussed back. The reception desk staff were very friendly, helpful and polite, as were the staff serving breakfast and at the bar. The room was very comfortable although the TV was very low and difficult to see whilst lounging on the bed. We had 4 very good quiet nights sleep even though there were weddings happening on 2 of the nights. The only adverse comment I would make is that the bathroom could do with updating. It was adequate and clean but a bit sad.

This hotel restored out faith in humanity! We called in to see if they had any vacancies after our group of 8 who had just cycled the "way of the Roses" were let down by our accommodation. The two guys who were working Saturday afternoon 23rd August both rang around all their connections to try find us a bed. They were so nice and helpful even though it wasn't their problem. They rang around until thankfully they found a place that had two rooms to accommodate us. This was without any benefit to themselves or their hotel. We are now in the Seahorse thanks to these guys. Next time I come back to your we will be booking here. This is what is probably the busiest weekend in York so we are so so happy to have a bed, cheer guys!

We arrived late at night with 2 large vehicles. The manager on duty helped us get them parked and even arranged early breakfast for us as we were leaving at 6am.

The room I had was great. I could not complain about anything.

Well worth a stay! Thanks for a good night.
