Owner description: York Maze is an a-maizing day out for the whole family. The attraction is based around a giant maze, made from maize plants. We open during the school summer holidays,to give families an amazing day out. With over 20 different rides and attractions, the kids will be kept busy for the whole day! York Maze also runs halloween events for families in the daytime, and teenagers and adults at night during the Halloween half term. We finish the year with a huge firework spectacular set to music, on November the 5th every year. When we are not open to the public, we host weddings in our beautiful barn comlex. It's the perfect setting for a rustic wedding!

Been twice and really enjoyed both times. There is so much to do - not just the maze - including food areas, a large sand play area, loads of kids games, rides and attractions - the farm area - and more. My only recommendation would be the maze is better mid-season when it is tall enough to feel like enclosed, but not too easy as previous visitors havent as yet made loads of short-cuts due to being lost.

took our 2 grandkids with us (6 and 8) due to poor weather maize wasn't really tall BUT it was still fun to negotiate the maze. bouncy castles and things to climb, bring change of clothes and a towel to dry off, one attraction gets you VERY wet lol. good picnic area and lots to do for everyone!

This is a really fun and active day out.
You will need a whole day as there is so much to do. There is the main maze which takes a while to find your way around, also a smaller maze filled with optical illusions which is really fun. Also loads of bouncy castles and slides for the children. There is a shop, places to buy food and sweets etc.
They do themed nights here which are really good. They do the Halloween night which is actually quite scary so i wouldn't recommend taking small children, they do something for christmas but the best of all is the Bonfire night firework display. With a massive bonfire, an excellently put together firework display which is timed with music, fair ground rides, hook a duck kind of things, hot dog stands, sweet stalls, burger tents and live music by local bands. It's a really nice night out.
You do have to book your tickets early though as they go pretty fast so if you want to go i'd keep your eye out for them!

Went with my nearly 2 year old son and had a lovely morning. I'll start by saying that for children this young it has its limitations as it's so big and would suit older children better - 4 years old and above I'd guess. As well as the maze itself there are a wide range of things to do, jumping pillows, huge sandpit/playground, painting murals, inflatable assault courses and all sorts. Food options were great, high quality and varied. For my son's age, it's definitely not worth the entry fee but that's something you learn by trying, we'll be back in the coming years.
