We stayed here for one night during the week. We weren't too sure where their car park was to begin with so we found a park and ride which dropped us right outside the hotel. We were able to check in early as our room was ready. Staff were friendly. We then had a walk into town which wasn't very far away.
When we did get our car to park it the car park is not very big at all. We managed to get in the last spot. They did tell us that we could park in the NCP down the road and they could discount our ticket.

Our Room was situated next to the busy road and with windows closed you really couldn't hear a lot of the traffic. You didn't need the window open anyway because they do have air con too.

Very nice stay! Would definitely recommend

Stayed on one of the busiest days (York Races) we couldn't check in as it was too early, but I had previously telephone ahead and they have provided 2 rooms for us (group of 12 couples), the receptionist very extremely helpful. This location is great for the races as it was only a 20 min walk. In the evening we had a meal in the Table Table restaurant which was excellent although a little slow but everything came out at the same time, the only downside was one rude bar staff member.
The good security is that you can only use a key card to get up to the rooms and through the corridors. Great location for the evening as we didn't want to walk into town, plenty of pubs to choose from. Comfy bed, great all round, would stay here again

The beds are comfortable - no debate on this. Our room faced the rear and was nicely quiet. The 30 min free wifi and then pay beyond that is miserable. Since there is no phone in the room, it forces you to walk to reception if there are issues (or worse). Having two separate hotels next to each other with the same name but "north" or "South" in the name is confusing as the street frontage does not make it clear which is which - and one particularly unsympathetic desk clear seemed delighted in sending us down to the other hotel when we made an error on check-in. The breakfasts are plentiful and nice, but both days we were there, the breakfast area had lots of kids creating chaos for everyone to enjoy.

Mystified why Premier Inn haven't knocked through to make a super size hotel ( you will see why if you check out the map) but the location is excellent just next to Mickelgate into the historic city but as it's a chain theres littel to say other than sumptuous beds, clean rooms and good service- what really shone out though was the really helpful reception staff where nothing was too much trouble.
nothing more to say really or any negatives other than limited parking at the hotel but this is simply overcome by the NCP carpark behind or better still next time, I'll take the train as its a 5 or 10 minute walk from the station. very good, AND VALUE FOR MONEY. Thankyou very much- a really good early week stay.

Room Tip: on my Ipad I'm unable to cancel the fitness centre or swimming pool bits- unfair as they don'...

I lost my wallet (actually a friend hid it) the staff here couldn't of been more helpful, they did everything! The hotel was clean and tidy, overall a credit to the company, well done! The two ladies who helped me, deserve a recognition award for service!

Quiet and very close to the city walls. Friendly staff and spacious room which was just right for us and our 2 teenage children. Would definitely recommend for a city break. Good choice for breakfast, including gluten free toast.
