“perfect location”

it was perfect for a week away, its quiet but close enough to the shops and restaurants. it was clean and tidy. and the staff at the reception were really helpful and made us feel welcome. the male cleaner was slightly rude as he nearly ran me over with his laundry trolley and never apologized. the parking was abit expensive. we will defiantly stay here agen when visiting York..

Great location only 10mins from the station. Modern with all that is required of a room. Real friendly reception staff. We walked our legs off visiting the many wonderful attractions York has to offer.
Will be back soon to this great Premier Inn.
Do not book breakfast. Buffett with poor hot food. Rubber eggs and cold bacon with the staff in this part of the hotel on a different planet.
Go to Punchbowl across the road for a good breakfast served to you not fought for at a buffet. less than half the price. Also many great breakfast offers in town.

Room Tip: Rear room very quiet

As Premier Inns go, this benefits from a location convenient both for the station and the City Centre, being right next to Micklegate on the city walls. The staff are all pleasant and polite and the meals are above par but the system at breakfast is somewhat convoluted in that, after queuing to be seated you are taken elsewhere to pay in advance at the till, unless you have already decided upon and prepaid for one of the three pricing options.

Its main disadvantage is the lack of convenient or reasonably priced parking compared with other hotels in the chain. Worse still, the NCP operative neglects to advise you that an unadvertised 2½% surcharge is applied to credit card payments - you are not required to enter a PIN or sign a voucher so it is too late when your card is handed back with the receipt. The hotel were apparently unaware of this practice.

Docked a point for a non-operative lift.

Room Tip: Wait until the lift is fixed

This hotel is always our first choice when staying in York. Location great for sightseeing and shopping. It's a very busy hotel and invariably fully booked which means you may have a slight wait for Breakfast, but the service is exceptional so no real problem at all. It is a very efficient, well run establishment with dedicated Staff.
The lift is out of action at the moment so you may want to factor that in when planning your trip. Staff on reception helped us up to our rooms with all our bags. In fact nothing is too much trouble to ensure you have a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter, but the double glazing keeps traffic noise to a minimum. We slept wel...

As it says in the title, cannot fault it really except if I was a bit older walking up & down thress flights of stairs wouldn't be much fun. But nice quiet clean room with a good nights sleep all for £19, we'll be back.

Room Tip: Room 309 was away from the main road

Love the Premier Inns as they are excellent value for money. NCP car park wasn't easy to find & directions could have been better. Short walk into the centre of York & ideal for shops, pubs & clubs. We were given a disabled room which wasn't a problem apart from the bed, sink etc being lower so not ideal for my 6ft 3in husband. Friendly, helpful staff as always.

Stayed here for 1 night 20th February, busy half term week in a family room - 2 adults and 2 children.
As usual with Premier Inn's we had a quiet, restful, comfortable nights sleep and a fulfilling good value breakfast
The lift was out of order but with only 3 floors - no problem.
Staff as ever couldn't do enough to help
Superb location just a few hundred yards away from Micklegate (the Royal Entrance to York).
Lots of Bars and restaurants within easy walking distance and a stones throw from the Railway Station - on leaving the main entrance to the Station; just turn right and follow the road round to Blossom Street.
Will definately use again.
