Staying at Bilborough Top, Premier Inn, A64, Services, York, I noticed the advert Board for the Triton Fish Restaurant, as we arrived at our accomodation.

Deciding that we would both like a fish meal we drove to the restaurant and, wow, parking for at least 50 cars and 10 coaches, so no problem there.

Entered the restaurant and met by very helpfull staff and given a choice of tables. Menu was full and varied and prices very competative.

I went for the "Jumbo Cod & Chips" and my wife explained that she could not have Potato or wheat due to food intolerance.

Staff , straight away pointed out that the haddock could be pan-fried in butter and the meal served with a side salad of choice.

Brilliant!

We had our meal, both enjoyed it enormously and can only say, if you want a great meal of "fish and chips", then this is the place to try.

The menu also has, various meals of meats, pies, salads and other family favourites, as well as being licensed to serve alcohol.

The food is fresh. They have a licence so serve beer. The service excelllent and price is in the region of eight pounds for fish and chips. Would advice eating here.

Really nice, freshly cooked fish and chips and surprisingly good value. Came with bread and peas in for the price which in other restaurants starts to hike the prices up.

The girl that served us was fantastic and remembered all the little things we asked for. Genuinely friendly and sincere service.

We stayed at the premier inn nearby. We popped in late afternoon just to check the menu and have a warm cuppa. We were pleasantly surprised to see such a full menu, including home made stew, Yorkshire pudding, steak pie , and lovely home made puddings. We booked a table for that evening. We had a lovely three course meal with drinks. Everyone enjoyed their meals so much, we decided to return again the following evening. One observation was that it was spotlessly clean. The owner herself and the waitresses were constantly cleaning tables, underneath tables, and chairs. The staff were all very friendly and took time to talk to us and recognised us when we went back. All in all a lovely restaurant which I would definitely recommend. Thanks, hope to come back again when passing.

Seen this place by accident after looking for a McDonald's. So glad we did. The ladies out front were very professional, very sweet, very kind and VERY Good! If these girls were my staff I'd be very proud. The food was fabulous the fish and chips were boiling - had to give it a few minutes to cool down. Only negative I could find and it's only a small one the vinegar didn't taste of anything, maybe need to taste yourself? We will be back.
