Absolutely loved the cocktails here! (lets be honest, isn't that why we all go there?) I visited evil eye upon a recommendation at the tourist information looking for an alternative bar. This was recommended to me, as well as trembling madness. We ended up staying in the evil eye all night,, we did go in the week do it was a bit more quieter, but the atmosphere was nice. The bar staff are helpful, good advice on what drinks to try, and the tricks/cocktail moves are amazing! The quality of the cocktails is mind blowing too, worth every penny. I think i'm addicted to their Mojito's!!! The only downside is it left quite a hefty hole in my purse.. but other than that, its definitely worth the experience. :)

We often visit the bar for cocktails on a night out.. Always fantastic and the atmosphere chilled out and bustling. We've eaten here previously and have always found that the food really depends on which chef is working.. The spicing indicators on the menu often bear little resemblance to how spicy the dish actually is. But if you know this it's easy to ask for a dish to be a littler milder, or hotter as all dishes are cooked fresh.
We visited on a Wednesday evening so it wasn't too busy. We were a large party of 12 but happily ordered our meals in 2's and 3's as we weren't bothered about sitting and eating a formal meal together. 45minutes after myself and a friend ordered we asked at the bar for an idea of how long the food would be and were told that it 'always' takes at least an hour. It would have been nice if they mentioned this at the time of ordering. When the food finally arrived it turned out the kitchen had decided to serve all 12 meals together.. Despite us ordering up to 20 mins apart and not requesting that they do this. This meant that those ordering first had waited well over an hour for their meal.
Thankfully when the food arrived it was fantastic, so we forgave the poor service. Portion sizes are always huge and all the food was hot and fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening of cocktails and Thai food in the end.. If only the communication regarding waiting time had been better it would have been full marks.

Not quite the place I went to about a year ago. The food was not as good, but equally it was still good. I think the atmosphere had changed a lot too. Very very loud and it seemed more about the drinks than the food.

Thought i was going to a rock pub, and it should have been good. Looked good, excellent loud rock music, but.....................full of people who looked like they were in a wine bar! not a rocker or 'altenative' person to be seen! hence no no atmosphere. What a shame. Good menu, but didnt feel comfortable enough to stay.

Cocktail selection is second to none. Partner tried a couple including Curd your enthusiasm - excellent little place behind a shop.
