I had gone to a ghost walk in bath which was outstanding so the bar was set high but this was so poor I left half way through as I am only in york for a short time I felt this tour only wasted my time,
sorry the guy did try but it was flat and life less

“It was OK”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2013

To be honest i expected more been on a few tours of Newcastle and Edinburgh and see how scary they are i expected more from York, we came to York for the tour and i wish i had just booked the Durham or Newcastle ghost walk. It was a good tour, the guide was a bit odd but that made him even more entertaining. It was spoiled by the number of people on the tour and its not really an adult tour more for kids.

York looks the part but over run with ghost walks, every where we went there was someone touting tickets for a tour that i could do with a visitor book and less people.

Entertaining? Yes
Scary? No
Worth the few bob? Meh
Would i do it again? No
Do i have ever lasting memories? No really

Ok if you have nothing to do and want to waste an hour.

“Caught him on bad night”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2013

Spoilt by the many voices of the Actor/Guide. Was easily side tracked by ramblings off the subject matter he was trying to describe. We were being closely followed by another Ghost walk which was off putting we kept getting bumped along so felt rushed. If he stuck to the story minus the ramblings it would have been much better.

“A good hour spent”

Great ghost walk (but not scary). Great acting from the guide and was quite funny. Didn't go far from the minster but went in to some streets and alleyways you wouldnt of known about.

“Fun...and a history lesson to boot!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2013 via mobile

I have never been on a ghost tour, but with three teenagers to entertain part way through the holiday in York, this seemed a good idea! Best £20 I spent in York. The guide was great - funny and knowledgeable about the city. An actor with a great line in voices, who entertained us with stories and showed us bits of the city we wouldn't have noticed otherwise. Not scary - there were younger kids in the party who probably see scarier stuff on the X Box, but for almost an hour and a half, plus some exercise, it was good value. Recommended!
