“5 Star City Centre Property”
Reviewed June 13, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

I stayed in this fantastic town house with 3 friends for one night but really wish it had been for longer! The location is perfect for visiting the many bars and restaurants in York and the house itself was just perfect. It has been furnished to an extremely high standard and the fixtures and fittings are all first class. Each room has been sympathetically renovated and individually dressed in the style of a chic boutique hotel. The bed I slept in on the first floor was definitely the most comfortable I have ever known!

You would not be disappointed if you booked this house for 1 night or 7 as it has everything you could possibly need for your stay.

Many thanks and I hope to revisit very soon!

“Beautiful House”
Reviewed June 11, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Stayed here with a group of friends. The house is beautiful, it is decorated and finished with lovely accessories, beds are comfy and showers are great! It couldn't be in a better position, You are right in the middle of everything but also hidden away, next to the river, with a lovely little peaceful terrace. Perfect. House has all mod cons including a coffee machine, which was good for me!
You are just a short walk from Betty's Tea Rooms and everything else York has to offer! Would highly recommend

“Amazing stay in a historic cottage with modern interior in the middle of all the sights.”
Reviewed June 11, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Party of 4 adults stayed here as a base to visit York and it was the perfect place. 5 minutes from York Minster right next to lendal bridge.
The cottage is old but has a modern tasteful interior with everything you need for a self catering stay. Everything was immaculate.
There are 3 floors. The ground floor has a large kitchen diner , small living room and toilet/ shower room. The first floor has 2 bedrooms. One double en suite and another with double and single bed. The top floor has a master en suite bedroom. All the bedrooms are very spacious.
The weather did not allow us to sit in the little back garden
Great value in the perfect location.
Finding the cobbled lane can be difficult but Anna sends comprehensive directions and is at the end of a phone if you are having problems.

“A boutique hotel experience that's home from home”
Reviewed March 5, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

We had a wonderful stay at Whistler House. Booked by three university friends on a 30 year reunion, this house provided everything we needed. A wonderful boutique hotel feel, with top quality linen, all the appliances and services required in a beautiful location by the river. The little sun terrace in the back garden meant we could sit out and enjoy the view of the river. The kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of seating to relax in. The shops and sites are within a minute's walk and the proximity to the station is a bonus. The owner Anna made us feel incredibly welcome. Whistler House comes highly recommended!

First impression -WOW this cottage really does have the wow factor. The location could not be any more perfect for exploring York located just to the left of Lendal Bridge beside the Yorkshire Museum. The cottage itself is perfect. It feels like home from home and has everything you might need to enjoy your stay. We will most definitely be looking to stay in the future and I would recommend Whistler House to friends and anyone wanting to stay in York - it has it all!!
