I found this little gem on Trip Adviser, as a birthday treat for my husband. It was supposed to be a surprise but I was so excited with my find I had to tell him and he too was impressed with the booking. The weather on the day we arrived was damp and dreary, but I can assure you this did not spoil things for us, the next two days were glorious and what a sun trap at the rear of the shepherds hut. Everything has been carefully thought out and you will not want for anything. If you need anymore space there is a games room next door to spread out, with a bar, pool table darts, tv board games and much more. You could spend hours in here looking at all Grahams collections.
Also, over the main road is the Flask cafe, which does great breakfasts and the Flask Pub for drinks and food.
Graham and Lisa are very kind and helpful and they made our stay perfect. Lisa even baked some cup cakes for my husbands birthday with candles in; this was a lovely treat.

We stayed in the Shepherds Hut 11th August for a couple of nights. The hut was immaculate, very clean and tidy, which is impressive for a glamping style venue. The bed was very comfy, my partner is 6'5 and he was able to sleep comfortable, the bedding was all lovely quality and fresh. The hut is small but has everything you need. The owner, Lisa was very welcoming, advised us to contact her if we needed anything and left us to it, which I liked. She also informed we could use the fridge in the games room (a big barn next door) as the one in the hut is pretty tiny. She had left us a packet of cookies (which my partner was very pleased with) and dog biscuits (which the pooch was very pleased with). We had a lovely stay in the hut. Good value for money, private and off the beaten track but not too remote. The games room was good fun, we finished off most evenings in here, which we had to ourselves. Locally there is a nice pub across the road, friendly staff and nice food. A garage too but when we went it seemed to have limited stock. We would definately stop here again and recommend it, if visiting the area.
A beautiful view can be seen from the balcony of this lovely shepherds hut. It has been created to be a mini home from home with comfy double bed, small kitchen with two hobs and a mini oven grill and butlers sink. There is a tiny fridge for milk but a larger one is provided in the barn for bigger items. An ingenious table folds down from the wall to create an indoor eating space for two or you can sit outside on the balcony. A wet room with toilet and sink has been added at the back of the hut or you could use the shower in the barn. There is also a stove to heat the hut in winter although we didn't need this as it was well insulated and warm! All in all this tiny place is so well equipped and the owners have worked hard to create a quaint place to stay. The barn is also well equipped with a washer dryer and games room for guests to use and there is a convenient outdoor dog wash for muddy pets. We have also stayed in the holiday cottages on site and would recommend the complex to anyone wanting quality, cleanliness and a friendly set of hosts. We have had a lovely week's stay and find the location perfect as it is between Scarborough and Whitby opposite a garage and a pub and cafe; the Flask Inn which provides great food and welcomed families.
Fantastic hosts, fantastic accommodation, fantastic location .
A perfect get away from it all weekend.
