Great stay this weekend at the Seaview! Brian and Abby are lovely hosts and provide a very welcoming and cosy Guest House. This is our 2nd stay at the Seaview and we couldn't ask for more, The rooms are very stylish and have everything you could need for your stay, lots of homely touches are wonderful. Everywhere is impeccably clean. Breakfast is lovely with plenty of choice and is in a great location. Thank you for a lovely stay we will be booking again next year.

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful stay at the Sea view Guest House. This B&B is the best we have ever stayed in, the place is immaculate, the breakfast fab and the views spectacular. We stayed in one of the front bedrooms which was nicely decorated, had a comfy bed, well equipped bathroom and a floor to ceiling window with sea view. We enjoyed the tea, coffee, biscuits, fruit and Parkin which were provided in the room. Much appreciated after a long journey. They even had some decaf tea, which I prefer to drink in the evening.
The breakfasts were scrumptious and plentiful. As fish lovers we opted for the kippers one morning and smoked salmon the next, both delicious. My husband particularly enjoyed the homemade Seville marmalade.
Brian and Abby were friendly and helpful, offering us advise on restaurants, things to do and places to see.
Luckily the weather stayed dry throughout the weekend enabling us to thoroughly explore Whitby and the nearby villages of Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay.
We usually started our evenings in the Duke of York pub followed by dinner.
We had two very nice evening meals, one at the Magpie( we had managed to book) and the other at the Marine Hotel.
Whitby is a great place to take a holiday, particular if you stay at the Sea view. The whole experience was so enjoyable we have booked for next year.
Just a quick review to say that our two days at the Seaview were just as great as the last twice we were there.
Breakfast was up to the usual high standard..actually I have not stayed anywhere that it as well as Brian and Abby, nice selection of fruits chopped up ready to eat, then I always go for the full English, it's so big it pretty much carries me the whole day.
This was the first time we have had a garden view room at the rear...very quiet, I defy anyone to find a cobweb in the Seaview, quite the most immaculate place I have ever stayed.
Had a great time guys...we will be back again but maybe not until next spring.
Just got home after a weekend at the Seaview. Probably the best guest house we have ever stayed in. Very friendly owners, beautiful rooms, delicious breakfast, spotlessly clean, amazing art deco decor, impressive attention to detail- faultless. My only reservation in recommending it is that it will be harder to book a room when we want to go back! Many thanks to both Brian and Abby. (By the way, Brian, it's a wren on the old farthing coin, not a robin- smallest bird on the smallest coin- just in case it's a pub quiz question!)
This is our second time at Seaview and what a great place to stay.warm and welcoming, lovely and clean rooms , fantasic breakfast, best we've ever had . nothing to much trouble. what more would you need?the lovely little touches in your room is great, fresh fruite bowl and fridge with fresh milk in it and the very yummy home made cake. we had a great laugh and chat with the owners. Brian is just wonderfully funny!!!! booked again for next year or sooner if we can make it.
