“Fabulous”
Reviewed June 3, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Lovely apartment, very cosy and spacious in historic building in old part of Whitby. Good location for all tourist attractions in Whitby. Lovely bathrooms and beautiful views over harbour/marina. Well stocked kitchen and milk provided on arrival was very useful for a cup of tea after a long drive! Caters for all ages. Surprisingly very quiet during the night and very comfy beds. Would recommend. Free parking was quite difficult to find due to business at the weekend (sun was out!)

“Outstanding!”
Reviewed May 19, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Arrival on Friday was made easy by the detailed and user-friendly instructions for unloading and parking. We were totally knocked out by first tour of the facilities with many whoops of joy and wonder from my daughters (aged 12 and 17) who were comfily settled within seconds.

The accommodation has been amply-described elsewhere but allow me to say that the decor, layout, fittings and little touches, all confirm that the owners of this fantastic residence have great vision, taste and consideration for guests. It has a special feeling that stays with you for days after departure.

I can't think of anything that I would detract from this review that was not churlish and nit-picky. It is a fabulous house, in a great location and it welcomes you with open arms, comfy furniture, and a sense of space and luxury that frankly, you would struggle to equal.

We'll be back for sure.

“Perfect Weekend in Whitby”
Reviewed May 5, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Stayed at 19a Grape Lane during the May Bank holiday and it was wonderful!
The apartment is spacious, clean, well equipped, convenient and very comfortable! I can't praise it enough. It's near some great restaurants, pubs and cafés. Although there is no private parking it was easy and inexpensive to park in town and so nice to just leave the car there for 48 hours. The place would be great for 2 couples or a family.

“Wonderful apartment”
Reviewed April 17, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

This apartment is amazing, beautiful and spacious with every facility you could think of. The twin bedroom is perfect but the master bedroom (en-suite too!) is like something out of a magazine! Massive with a big comfy bed. 3 bathrooms, one with an almost free standing big bath and a lovely big family kitchen. In the living room there is a false balcony with an amazing view out over the entrance of the Captain Cook museum out to the water and beyond. A weekend was not long enough! And if there are four of you staying, you are less per head a night than you would be in a cramped b&b. Will be back very soon hopefully!

Wonderful apartment and excellent location in the old part of town. Super views, courtyard and loved the Church Street area. And we managed to avoid fish & chips during our stay! Pie & Mash restaurant good though.

Another fantastic break at Grape Lane Whitby. A central location with lovely views, a harbour side yard and great facilities. Warm, comfortable and unique. Great base for walking and nights out in Whitby.

“DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE...”
Reviewed January 18, 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Returned here for 4 days, daughter came down for a couple of days, and fell back in love with this place again!
Since my last visit, 3-4 years ago, the TV has changed to a larger flatscreen one, which was a big improvement, excellent reception as well. I can honestly find no negatives in this apartment... warm, stylish and extremely comfortable, with lovely views across the harbour.
Emma, the owner, is a delight to communicate with... so professional and helpful. She gave us a brilliant price as we were returning clients, so got a 5% discount, and also as it was a late booking, we got a fantastic discount for this too!
The apartment is so central to everything, it's location really can't be beaten.
We will certainly return again, for longer next time - can't wait!
