Owner description: A virtual visit to Dr Frankensteins laboratory with Geissler Tubes, Bouquet Tubes, Railway Tubes, Jacob's Ladder, telegraph system, early x-ray tubes and many more crackling spark, electric flame laden demonstrations. Showing the education of the young Victorians, using many of the static accessories and rare artefacts, as used by them. We hope your visit here will prove interesting, stimulating and will give an insight into this largely extinct branch of science.

I hade threatened to go to this museum for some time and finally got round to it with a pal of mine. Amazing is the only way to describe it! Captivating! 2 1/2 hrs full of fascinating demonstrations and information, very well explained and easy to understand. Its like the Christmas Lectures of 30 years ago, practical, visual stuff not just in a book or on the internet on a screen. So pleased i've been and seen this, a gem. Tony, wot a nice guy too!! Big thanks.

We visited the Museum last month and got the surprise of our lives. Tucked away in the Yorkshire Moors village of Glaisdale was this amazing place. Just full of electrical Scientific instruments of all sorts.
We saw how X-Rays were discovered; the mysteries of Radio Activity; how the electron was found; Massive sparks and glowing tubes of Victorian endeavors to understand cathode rays.
It was two hours in a time machine – fantastic!

This was our whole reason for visiting Whitby.

We'd been to the Museum 8 years ago, and were keen to return to see what new toys Tony had. So many new things, that the talk is now 2 hours long.

Fascinating. Tony really knows his stuff, and I'm amazed at the things he's built.

Please note - this isn't a museum for children.
