no car park, no evening meal in house, over priced
Be prepared to be charmed by this establishment. From the greeting by the propriotors to the fixtures & fittings & food.
A great place to be when visiting a great place. Nice and handy for the town but not too near for the hustle & bustle.
Try it for yourself .... you will not be disapointed!
We stayed at The White Linen Guest House for two nights. When we first arrived we were greeted by the owner who made us feel really welcome.
It is a family run hotel and they gave us excellent service. The breakfasts were great and there was a choice of menu ranging from full english, locally produced kippers and you could even have pancakes. The rooms were the best I have ever stayed in and they were so clean and tastefully decorated. There is only one thing wrong with my stay in this guest house....We didn't stay long enough. If any of my friends are going to Whitby for a break I will certainly recommend this guest house as we could not find any fault with it at all.
From the moment we arrived we were greeted and shown great hospitality and warmth, we felt as if we were visiting friends.
The rooms were tastfully decorated with modern touches, these included fresh flowers every where, orchids in our bedroom and deep carpets to sink into, Home away from home.
I have hesitated giving this reveiw, in case we can never get a room.
Also go to Joshua's a few yards away for a great eating experience, not cheap but you get what you pay for in this life.

This is a fantastic place to stay should you ever visit whitby. The rooms are beautifully decorated and well equipped and the breakfasts are the best I have ever had in a guest house (even better than some 4* hotels I have stayed in!) The couple who own it are very friendly and instantly make you feel at home - highly recommended!
