Lan given to the Town as "a haven and sanctuary". For the most part it lives up to it. The only downside is that as part of the recent makeover a children's play area has been established in one area which can be rather noisy at times. Fortunately it is in one corner, partially hidden by the Museum which does help. The rest of the Park is most enjoyable particularly as it is so handy to the centre of town with some interesting little areas and corners. Well kept with the help of local Volunteers. Long may it continue
