An extremely clean, friendly establishment just 10 minutes walk from the town centre. Rooms appear to have been recently redecorated and all fixtures/fittings etc are of a high standard. The breakfast was very good with an ample choice and variations to suit each individual choice. Top quality smoked haddock available on request. "Mine hosts" were great in every respect - friendly, informative and flexible to suit residents needs. An excellent B&B for the "short break".

Room Tip: Bottom floor front room - spacious and convenient. One room upstairs has it's own private shower...

We visit Whiby for a short break most years. We have tried various bed and breakfasts over the past 16yrs.
The Crescent is special, lovely spacious spotless rooms, quiet and peaceful,no disturbance as others come in.
Quality breakfast, made with the best ingredients.
Residents parking makes a huge difference,as parking in Whitby can be a nightmare. .
George and Carol are friendly and very welcoming
It is ideal for the beach walks and near the town,I cannot rate this establishment highly enough.

Just returned from Whitby, we pulled in to the Crescent Lodge as it was the first we saw with vacancies AND parking..... bonus. That was a lucky stop. Cannot fault the place, rooms big and airy, superb breakfast, parking, very close to the town centre. What more could you want? Would highly recommend anyone going to Whitby to stop there.

Took my pal over from Ireland for a weekend in Whitby. Have stayed at the Crescent Lodge 6 years ago when it was under different ownership and was excellent. The present owners have maintained the previous high standards and mention must be made of the excellent breakfast. The property is within reasonable walking distance from Whitby town's attractions and offers free parking to clients.
1st class B&B. Unfortunately can't take my wife and dog as the Crescent Lodge doesn't welcome pets.

This was our first visit and most definatley wont be the last to this wonderful home of George & Carol at the Crescent Lodge, Whitby. We have been coming to Whitby for years but we have to say this is one of the nicest experience of hospitality we have encounted for many years, Our room was amazing, Carol & George had catered for all our needs and nothing was to much trouble, we even came away with a cutting from a plant that my mum wanted for home, how's that for service?! The breakfast was wonderful and even had my Marmite! We would highly recommend a stay here, there's nothing like it. We will be staying again later this year for my 50th.

We have just returned from our fourth visit to this wonderful B&B. The welcome is so warm, the rooms are spotlessly clean, the breakfast is the best you could possibly have anywhere, ( NOW THERE 'S A CHALLENGE FOR YOU ) and the owners George and Carol are so welcoming and genuinely caring. There isn't anything they wouldn't do for you, George will even throw in the odd joke after cooking breakfast and as for accommodating every need, he will even strain baked beans and seperate the juice from the beans, as my hubby can't eat beans but loves the sauce. Now you wouldn't get that anywhere else would you? So for genuine Yorkshire hospitalty the only place you need to go is Crescent Lodge.

Stayed here in June 2012 for 2 nights - I've stayed in a number of B&B's in Whitby and can honestly say this is the best so far! Rooms are huge - with all amenities you could ask for and spotless too! Onsite parking available FOC which regular visitors to Whitby will appreciate is invaluable as parking can be a nightmare during peak season. Great central location - just park up at Crescent Lodge and everything's in walking distance - 2 minutes from centre of town, 5 minutes from west cliff and beach - for those fitness fanatics (not us :-)) - the swimming pool and gym is just across the road! After George's breakfast you won't want to eat until your evening meal - you won't go away hungry and there's so much choice! Surprised at the review from 'WandererCumbria' - during our stay Carol & George were the perfect hosts and the staff couldn't do enough for us - so much so that we've already made another booking! I'd highly recommend this great B&B.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 5 which was perfect - lots of storage space for luggage, large bathroom, comfortab...
