We walked the 6 or 7 miles from Whitby to RHB.
Nice flat path for easy walks, with occasional nice views.
Path edges is a little overgrown in places, but wide enough.
A bike rental place nearer the start in Whitby could be an improvement.

This is a great place to visit-good British history, fascinating subjects and displays.
What brave explorers, sailing into the unknown in days gone by.
Visit this place you will like it.

It never fails to surprise me when I visit Scarborough to find it thronged like seasides always used to be back in the old days! I find myself just taking photos of the crowds to prove to friends & family how popular this place is. It is clean & safe, the beach is lovely & the amusements are fun!
It has an old charm about it that lingers from the 50s but it is not dated - Scarborough has managed to move forward with the times but still keep that good old British Seaside feel.
We travelled on an open top bus and we also went on the tram lift to save us doing too much walking! What a great place - we loved it.

In truth on such a nice named path, it's a pity trains don't still run on what would be a very scenic line.

This is a great asset to the town. We walked from Whitby to Hawsker and back again. The weather was dull but the walk was easy with clear signposting. It was dry under foot but the landlord of the pub in Stainsacre told us it can be quite muddy. He provided a roaring fire and a warm welcome, We were disappointed with the former station at Hawsker where cycles can be hired and supposedly refreshments obtained. Service was almost non existent and we came out without any food or drink. Check this first if you plan a tea break or take your own. Fancy cycling further next time.
