Beautifully situated cottage in a group of eight on a hill farm near Ruswarp, close to Whitby, with views across to Whitby Abbey. The cottage was very pleasant and comfortable, but it's a good idea to read the information provided about location of fuses, as a lightbulb went causing a fuse to blow whilst we were there. No problem, using the information given. The real bonus of the cottage was the presence of lots of families with children (roughly 6-15 years) and an outdoor safe grassy play area. We had one grandchild with us, and she absolutely loved being able to go out to play there.
cottage and location was great nice and peaceful and great views of Whitby local Butchers nice pies and meat but as usual you get a little downside and that was we could not get a decent T.V picture as always going blank so we stayed out in local for a drink in the end left a day early
Ideal location for visiting the local coastal resorts. The surrounding area around the cottage is very tranquil with beautiful views from the seating/play area to the side. It would have been super if it had its own garden area but there is plenty of places to sit outside. The cottages have plenty of parking. We had a lovely stay & the weather was good too. altogether a pleasant holiday in a perfect location.
A wonderful holiday, peaceful location with stunning views. Lovely to sit outside in the sun and listen to the sound of the steam train as it makes its way through the valley. The cottage was well equipped, ( although I'll need to take a knife sharpener next time), ideal as a base for travelling around the area. The information given by Paul was excellent, can highly recommend the butchers in Sleights. I would highly recommend the cottage and will be booking again.
Perfect cottage and location for a family holiday. Our little one is 2, but it would also be suitable for older children. Also brilliant local recommendations from the owner. Thank you.
