Just back from a one night stay at Cobbleview with 2 rooms between our group. Booking was easy, staff were really friendly and helpful and let us check in a few hours early to ensure we didnt miss the rugby! The rooms were lovely, classy decor, big enough for purpose and beds really comfortable. Will definitely stay here again, for £50 per room this place is a bargain not to be missed!

For the best fish, chips and mushy peas Hadley's of Whitby will be hard to beat. The service is of the highest quality, warm and friendly. The food is exceptional with succulent fish dishes. As Carley Simon's said "No one does half as good as you"

Just returned from a 3 night stay here and it was excellent.
Lovely clean, huge well kept room (room5).
Brilliant shower and lovely views of Church Street and St Marys church.
Its a great base for a stay in Whitby with the added bonus of the gorgeous fish restaurant downstairs!
We will return!

Room Tip: Room 5 is excellent. Very spacious and well kept.

If you are looking for some budget accommodation I can't recommend this place highly enough. It is very clean, spacious and well equipped with comfortable furnishings. It is very well situated at the end of Church Street with it's own private entrance and is near to the pay and display car park opposite the Endeavour pub.
Beware that the rooms are at the top of 2 flights of steep stairs.

Room Tip: Room number 5 at £60 per night is a good size.

We stayed here for three night's a t the beginning of August. Very clean. The rooms are a bit small but for £55 a night, it was just the ticket.
A very central location, no parking, you have to park in the pay and desplay.
Although the rooms are above the fish restaurant there is no smell.
There are lots of choices for breakfast.
Would stay again on a short break.

Room Tip: Pay a littlel extra for the biggest room ( £60 ) per night

We stayed at Hadley's B&B for two nights recently. For us, it proved to be a very good base from which to explore Whitby and the surrounding area. The rooms were available for a bargain price, and were excellent. However, there are a few downsides that to some people might be considered 'deal-breakers'.

Positives:
- Rooms are lovely. Very modern and scrupulously clean. En suite also nice. Small TV in the room with most freeview channels available.
- Central location in the old town, which is very nice. So many good restaurants, bars and shops nearby.
- Staff are all lovely and very friendly.
- Separate card-coded door for guests so you don't have to use the restaurant entrance to get to the rooms.
- Rooms are a bargain, but no breakfast is included. However, you can pick up a full English for less than a fiver from one of the many cafes nearby (I recommend the Whitby Tea Room, 1-minute walk!)

Negatives:
- It's pretty noisy. During the day you get the fans from the restaurant downstairs, and during the night you get the seagulls on the rooftop just outside the room - they don't shut up, no matter what hour of the night it is. Not much the owners can do about the raucous wildlife though!
- The weather was hot when we stayed, and the rooms were roasting at night. The only way to combat it was to open the window, which made the noise worse. Basically meant that we hardly slept for the two nights, but again, there's not much the owners can do short of installing air con (noisy and expensive).
- No parking. And the local car parks were full when we arrived in Whitby, so we had to park about a mile away and walk there. Until you've experienced weekend parking in Whitby, you have no idea how difficult parking a car can be!

It looks like the negatives outweigh the positives above, but they really didn't for us. We needed a good base for exploration, and Hadley's provided it. The rooms are decorated and furnished beyond the level of your standard B&B, and the people are great. Just bring ear plugs for those pesky seagulls!

We visited Whitby and had fish and chips in Hadleys there is queue because they get you in and out quickly

The fish and chips is great I would advise cod and chips but all the fish there is great

The staff are quick and cheerful and I would definitely recommend that if you go to Whitby have fish and chips at Hadleys
