I visit Whitby fairly regularly and have stayed in a number of different B&B's and hotels within the town and this one would rank up with the best of them.

Myself and my mum each had a single room and although they were small they were very clean, well equipped (tea & coffee, flat screen TV, toiletries etc) & very importantly hade a nice comfy bed. It also looked like it had recently been decorated, no visible wear & tear etc, nice fresh feel to it.

The guesthouse is situated towards the North Cliff area and is within walking distance of all ameneties. There is free parking outside the guesthouse, but there are quite a few hotels/B&B's within the Crescent, so finding a space could be tricky, however it is also free parking along all the nearby streets so you shouldn't have to walk too far with your bags.

There was a decent sized breakfast on offer in the morning, the usual Full English, along with a choice of cerals, fruits, yoghurt & juice.

The owners were also very nice and made you feel welcome and offerd advice on good places to visit etc.

All in all I thought this was a very nice place to stay and reasonably priced. Will definately consider staying there again.

We decided belatedly to have a couple of days away at Easter and found The Haven quite by chance. Have been to Whitby many times, but never found this little gem. Chris and Stevie's attention to detail, both in the decor and in the ample breakfast are second to none. The situation is perfect, as there are many free parking spaces nearby and you can leave your car and take a short walk into Whitby town centre and to the various restaurants in the evening. We will certainly be returning.
