We have just enjoyed a fabulous 2 night stay ag The Haven.
We were in room 1 with fantastic views out to see and if we looked to the right from our room we could see the old Abbey.
Stevie is your perfect host who would bend over backwards for you :).
Cannot find a fault at all.
We shall be booking again very soon x

Stayed 2 nights in thus great B&B. It is very clean none of the usual B&B odour. The beds are very comfortable, there were 3 couples in our part and we all in agreement. Excellent quality breakfast. We will be staying there again next year.

Being seasoned WGWers and having stayed for many years at a guest house just yards away from The Haven, we were delighted by this first stay with Stevie & Chris. The Haven has got to be the cleanest guesthouse I have ever stayed in, marvellous - that really matters to me. Nothing is too much trouble for these hosts and all the little touches - pleasant music in the dining room, tissues, cottton buds, toiletries and even tooth picks being freely available etc - were very much appreciated. The breakfasts were consistancy exellent - and 'proper' full English (unlike the previous .... but let's not go there!). Unfortunately, because we booked late, we had the smallest room at the top and with all our Goth paraphernalia it was a bit of a squeeze, but not their fault and we have already booked our next stay in a bigger room.
Just wish we had defected from the previous guesthouse sooner! Thank you very much.

We have stayed at The haven on many occasions and each time has been excellent. Stevie & Chris are great hosts and nothing is too much trouble. We love the sea view from room 2, room 1 also has a sea view. The rooms are spotlessly clean with high quality bed linen (I'm funny about things like that!). Excellent breakfast and everything to a high standard. Looking forward to our next visit

We have just returned from what was meant to be a one night stop at the haven, however due to bad fog on the north York moors we turned back and stopped for a second night, and we were fortunate enough to get back into the same room (number 2). Although all the rooms are lovely, room two has the benefit of a four poster bed and one of the most stunning sea views so is our favourite. The bed is super comfortable - just what you need after a day exploring!
Our hosts, Chris and Stevie are very genial and friendly and have always made us feel very welcome.
The hotel is spotlessly clean - every time we go it feels like we are the first people to stay in their rooms and everything is to a high standard.
Breakfast is consistently the best we've had, served in the bright and cheerful sea view dining room. We cannot recommend the haven highly enough, and are looking forward to many more happy visits.

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely, but room 2 has a four poster bed and gorgeous views
