“Wonderful Whitby B&B”
Reviewed May 6, 2010

We love B&Bs and always choose to stay in one in preference to a hotel if possible. We selected Dillon's from the large range of available B&Bs because of the excellent reviews it had rec'd and were not at all disappointed. Tim and Fiona were very hospitable and knowledgeable hosts and they undoubtedly added to our enjoyment of Whitby and the local area. Dillons is a beauitful, elegant house and ur room was delightful. The food was beautifully presented and delicious, we enjoyed a divine 'supper plate' and a variety of breakfasts. Fiona recommended local resuarants when we booked and sent welcoming email prior to our arrival, very thoughful. Would recommend a trip to Dillons and the area and we hope to be back in the near future.

Stayed in the Toulouse room for 2 nights at the end of April. We received a warm welcome from Tim and Fiona who provided us with lots of useful information about the area whilst we indulged in a yummy slab of fabulous sticky toffee cake.

The room was just lovely, very large and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was immaculate with sumptuious white towels and a cosy robe. Lots of little touchs which make this B&B so much better than your average. Fresh milk, biscuits and choccies were left in the room each day.

The breakfast room was open and airy, again beautifully decorated. My husband enjoyed the full Yorkshire cooked breakfast on both mornings whereas I chose the specials which on one morning was an excellent Rhubarb yoghurt fool with granola.

The property is an easy 10 minute walk through Pannet Park to the harbour area. Parking is very limited in front of the property but there is unrestricted roadside parking available very nearby.

Fiona and Tim were the best hosts I have ever had the good fortune to book a room with ! From the first call to book to leaving the morning of our departure, they could not have been more helpful.
My friend and I stayed in Masi and Manhatten rooms, both were beautiful and so welcoming. The scones and tea served as we filled in the booking forms were delicious.
The dvd collection was really useful, a wide choice and a lovely way to relax after a day out in Whitby.
The breakfast was the best I had been served in a b&b. It was great to have a choice of a proper veggie breakfast while my friend enjoyed her full English. It was cooked to order and so hot and fresh.
I am looking forward to returning as soon as possible !
would recommend whole heartedly to anyone who wants to relax in Whitby. the only downside, like with so many proprties in Whitby, the steps are a problem for anyone with mobility issues.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was beautiful, the food was lovely and the hosts were very attentive without being overbearing. We have already told everyone we can think of that this establishment is well worthy of a visit and neither of us would have any hesitation in recommending this address for a break from home.

Spent Easter at dillons of whitby - my third stay now and it was excellent ...again!! Fiona & Tim's standards are so high and Fiona's homemade cakes and biscuits are delicious. A word of warning - if you're trying to diet then the cereals, muesli, yoghurt and fresh fruit platter will be just up your street, that is, of course, if you can resist the full Yorkshire breakfast (I couldn't) or the breakfast special, which, on my 2nd morning, was Smoked Salmon and Scambled Eggs - to die for! Looking forward to visiting again later in the year.

From arriving to leaving Dillons the whole experience was wonderful. Homemade Ginger cake and coffee served in the sitting room and a lovely welcome from Fiona and Tim on arrival, made an excellent start to our stay. We had the Masi room which was very comfortable, beautifully furnished and decorated, as is the rest of the house.
Dillons is located opposite Pannet Park which is nice to stroll through to reach the town, which is only a short distance away.
The breakfasts are definitely one of the best we have ever had with lots of choice and all local produce, cooked to order by Fiona
We would like to keep Dillons a secret as we suspect that it will be difficult to book a room there in the future, but really we cant recommend it enough.

we cannot reccomend this guest house enough, from the moment we arrived at dillons we felt at home. tim and fiona were both excellent hosts who could not do enough to make our stay both pleasent and relaxing.
we chose this guest house on the strength of their web site, which having been their doesn't do the place the justice it deserves. clean induvidually designed rooms, warm friendly atmosphere and the best breakfast in yorkshire... dillons deserves a hearty ten out of ten.. we can't wait to go back there next year.
many thanks to tim and fiona..
Helen and Trev.
