This was our 4th visit to The Arches, what a gem of a B&B! We can't believe our luck at discovering such a wonderful place to stay. The decor of the rooms had been refreshed sinced our last visit making it look classy and fresh. The bed had also been upgraded from a double to a King size bed even more luxurious! The breakfast has always been one of the highlights for me and this hadn't changed! We also had a brunch bag on one morning which was bursting full of delicious goodies including homemade coffee cake! Thoughtful touches are the defining feature of the service at The Arches. The lovely housekeeper Julie is always thinking one step ahead, she gave us some extra bin bags to keep up with our toddlers nappy disposal, and arranged her teddy bears thoughtfully adding the personal touch to the room. The brunch bag even had a jam sandwich cut into bitesize fingers to make it more convenient for her. We cannot fault the service and standards at this B&B and easily recommend it as the best B&B in Whitby.

The hotel was in a great location. Dave made us feel very welcome and was available if we needed advice about Whitby. The breakfast was lovely, loads to choose from and the fresh carrot cake was yummy! Will definitely be going back the next time we visit Whitby. The room was immaculate and very spacious. We would highly recommend this guesthouse.

Dave welcomed us and immediately made us feel at home. We had a lovely room that was comfortable and spotless. The breakfast was brilliant (homemade banana bread and jams!), and served hot and fast. Dave suggested a couple of places to eat and also provided great input on visiting the ruins. Our visit to Whitby was greatly enhanced by our stay here.

Room Tip: There are stairs to all levels so plan your burden accordingly.

It was our first time staying at the Arches and we loved the convenient location. The breakfasts were top notch with a good selection and there were even home made preserves and banana bread on offer. (Seriously, the strawberry jam is gorgeous)

We stayed in the room in the picture, which had everything that you could need, (exercize included as we were on the 2nd floor) bed, desk, shower, tv etc. If you have mobility problems, I would suggest asking for one of the ground or 1st floor rooms.... or not going to Whitby, it is seriously up and down all over the place.
