We stayed here just after Easter and opted for the beautiful "Fuggles" room. Wow - after 3 days walking the jacuzzi bath was absolute bliss each evening...we couldn't get out, so much so we missed food in the local restaurants and pubs on our 1st night!! Lovely indian restuarant Ruchee did us a take-away. The guest house itself was beautiful, Chris and Jackie were so welcoming and attentive, despite Jackie recently having broken her ankle nothing was too much trouble. Chris noticed we had bought a bottle of brandy with us and left some brandy glasses in our room. Overall, immaculate, beautiful old house, fantastic breakfast, very comfy bed and we felt extremely at home too. Wonderful, genuine hosts (with the addition of Chris's Mum, who was lovely) We are really looking forward to our return visit to do the 3peak challenge!!

A nice quiet room, breakfast at a time that suited me, friendly hosts, ultra clean and modern bathroom - no negatives at all! I parked nearby in the town square - free, though only for 2 hours during the day - I could have parked around the back but there was no need as I spent most of the day elsewhere.

We stayed here on 29th and 30th March as a base to attend a wedding at nearby Taitlands. It was our first stay in a guesthouse and we were a little apprehensive at first, however Chris immediately made us feel welcome and relaxed and our room was really lovely and exceptionally clean and toasty warm, plus the bed was very comfy. Nothing is too much trouble and Jackie even sorted all our taxi shuttles to and from the venue which was a big help.
Breakfast was really very good and served in a cosy room complete with open fire.
It's a great place to stay in Settle as it's right in the middle with easy access to local pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops, and not a bad price either.
A very slight downside was that our room was downstairs opposite the breakfast room which felt a bit close and you could hear what was going on, so if you have a choice and don't need the access, choose one of the upstairs rooms. We only chose downstairs as the rest were fully booked which is a good sign of course!
A big thanks to all.

Giving Chris & Jackie very little notice, we arrived a day earlier than booked in order to beat the heavy snow conditions, which we did - just! Nothing was too much trouble for them. A genuine warm welcome. Really comfortable beds, warm rooms. Peace and quiet. The full English Breakfasts set you up for the day. Without asking, Chris cleared the deep overnight snow from the rear parking area so we could get the car out to attend a family wedding in Giggleswick.

Wholeheartedly recommended !!!

Room Tip: All rooms were very quiet indeed.

Super comfy beds, bikes stored for you and loads of tea and coffee and a parking space for us when we stayed. Fantastic breakfast. Down sides? Owner is a Crystal Palace fan. You can't have everything :)

Stayed here with my husband and two friends on the first night's stop whilst cycling the Way of the Roses and would highly recommend it. Chris and Jackie were more than helpful, despite Jackie having a broken limb! The room was lovely and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. Secure storage for bikes and kit was a real bonus. An excellent breakfast, particularly the porridge, which set us up for the nasty climb out of Settle. Chris was right about warming up round the town first too - a very useful tip! Great location in the heart of Settle, with good places to eat and drink nearby. We'll certainly be back again.

Room Tip: We were in the Black Sheep room and it was lovely!

Stayed here for two nights 6th & 7th December 2012 and can highly recommend it. The new owners Chris and Jackie are very welocoming and nothing is too much trouble for them, lovely breakfast and very comfy bed. The only little gripe I have is that it was cold both in our room and at breakfast, seeing as it had just snowed. Maybe you could light the fire a little earlier in the morning and have the central heating on for the bedroom. Apart from that our stay was brilliant. Settle is a great place to do you your Christmas Shopping, some unique little shops and many good tea rooms.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, sorry we have responded earlier but it would appear our normal “trip-advisor email alert” failed to make it to us. We are very pleased that you enjoyed our guest house and hospitality, however of course disappointed that you felt cold. If it had been brought to our attention during your stay we could have provided an extra portable heater to your room (as the under floor heating was on we believe), and turned up the heating in the dining room – yes lighting the fire earlier would have helped. We hope to welcome you back in the future.
