“Have wanted to visit here for a while....finally did.”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

It was Good Friday and we decided that we'd go for a long walk.

We came into Norwich and just happened to be walking past The Last Wine Bar and noticed it was open. Amazing. So we thought "why not?"

Even though it was relatively late for lunch, we enquired if the kitchen was still open and was told it would be until 2.30. Perfect.

Settled into a quiet and comfortable table and noticed the meals being served were quite large and looked tasty.

The waitress came over and we ordered wine. A good wine list, although all the "specials" had been sold out. Not as extensive as I would have anticipated, but it was a good, well rounded list, with the average price being approx £25.

The menu was quite extensive and we thought very reasonably priced.

The wine was perfect. Well served.

The meal was very good. One of the better meals we have had in Norwich.

I could see this being a very busy venue at night and would certainly suggest booking.

Great for couples. Enough quite corners to escape the larger tables.

Service is discrete yet attentive.

“a lovely swarve experience”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

dined here on saturday night with 3 others
this place is swarve and sofisticated without being snobby.
nice and dark with dark wood tables what give a high end bistro feel but without the high end bill at the end.
4 people all with starters, mains and all have cheese and biscuits.a round of drinks and then a bottle of hungarian white,a bottle of NZ pinot noir and finished with half a bottle of port.bill total come in at £240 including tip,we found £60 per head including all drinks s very good value indeed.

the only thing that does need improving is the service is a little hit & miss, chasing up drinks orders and forgeting cutlery.nothing too serious but this is the reason for a loss of star.
and on entering the restaurant we were served by a blonde woman who's face is full of botox and filler,i need to point out that she is 'proper UP herself in a big way'.she gave of a vibe that we should be honoured she is giving us her time to serve us,maybe a course in customer service would help her conduct.if we were calling in just for drinks and were thinking of 'maybe' having something to eat we would have seeked elsewhere, but luckily we where anyway.
would we dine here again? yes because of it's value for money

“Overpriced”
Reviewed March 23, 2014

Food was very expensive for what it was especially the scallop starter 3 tiny scallops for £9. The potato roasti with main course was tasteless and bland and soaked in butter, risotto was also too rich with too much cream.
