Great first impression. Sat at bar for pre-dinner kirs and was looking forward to dinner. Had a bit of a laugh when overheard a customer asking a member of the bar staff whether his glass of ice had any gin in it. They'd forgotten the gin and just given him a glass of ice......At our table we ordered a bottle of the house wine a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. The bar waiter returned to inform us they had no chilled house wine(!) and advised us he could put a bottle in the fridge for us or 'offer us' an alternative. My husband naively thought this meant another bottle at the same price but no he was offering us the wine list to choose an alternative. I find it hard to accept that a supposedly good restaurant can run out of chilled house wine......We chose the next Sauvignon Blanc which at £8 more expensive was a bit of a cheek I thought. The food was fine but then at the end of the meal when our bill arrived we found they'd charged us for 2 x kir royales when we hadn't had champagne in our kirs. Seems to me the restaurant is let down by its bar. The other downside was the state of the loos. I know Delias is part of the Carrow Road complex but the toilets in the ground are better than those in her restaurant. For the price charged there are several areas that need to improve in my opinion.
