What a fantastic find. A beautiful bed and breakfast in Norwich City centre with private, gated parking. We loved being able to park right outside and forget our car for the weekend as everything was within easy walking distance and next to one of the best real ale pubs in the city. We had the windows open as it was hot but had two very peaceful nights sleep on the wonderfully comfortable bed. The room was divine, with attention to detail rarely found in other establishments. The bathroom was not ensuite but it was private, lovely and just across the landing. Robes were provided and it felt like your own home (only better!). Our hosts were lovely, that perfect balance of being attentive and enjoying a chat if you wanted it but at the same time not overbearing by letting you get on with relaxing and enjoying yourself. Clive's breakfasts were indeed fantastic, locally sourced with fresh soft fruits and home made bread to die for. We have no hesitation in recommending Gothic house and we would love to have a return visit.

Room Tip: Only two rooms, a double and a twin. We stayed in the double on the first floor. The twin is on the...

We are so pleased that we chose to stay at Gothic House. Everything about it is right. Location - right in the heart of the city, yet quiet and peaceful. Accommodation - comfortable, spacious, beautifully furnished and equipped. Breakfast - delicious, individually prepared. Hospitality - friendly, helpful, attention to detail, nothing too much trouble. We heartily recommend.

This lovely guest house is a little gem in the heart of Norwich. It's like going back in time to a more relaxing era. Great accommodation and breakfast personally supervised by Clive who is quite a character.

Beautiful Grade II listed house in the yard behind a pub. Furnished with taste in a compatible style. Had room at front for two nights which was bright and spacious, with a private bathroom across the landing. Excellent breakfast including luscious fruits. Handy for restaurants. Stayed here whilst walking Boudiccas way.

The house is beautiful and very thoughtfully decorated/furnished. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and comfortable and everywhere was spotless. Clive is a great host....very helpful and cooks a splendid breakfast ! It is easy to walk into the old town/cathedral area from Gothic House and the house itself is set back from the road and therefore not at all noisy. The near-by pub is certainly not a gastro pub but the beer is excellent.

I stayed here with my fiance and my parents and had a lovely time. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated with antique furniture. We were impressed by the attention to detail throughout the house. A lot of effort is put into the breakfast which uses locally sourced produce. Clive is a lovely host and we had a nice chat after breakfast. We'll definitely go back if we have another opportunity to stay in Norwich.

I came here for a business trip as it is very close to where I was working. Aside from the very convenient location, what I really loved about this place was how evident the amount of time and love that has been spent on turning the rooms into veritable treasure troves of stunning Regency design was. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here, and was made to feel very welcome by Clive (who does a mean salmon and scrambled eggs - an absolute treat!) - I regret I am unlikely to come back any time soon myself, but have ensured all my colleagues are aware of this place so they can enjoy it for themselves the next time they have an overnight trip to Norwich.
