Was looking for a quiet few days away from work and chose this from the HI website as offering a very good rate (£75 inc B/fast) for an executive toom. Arrived in at the station and was easy to find about a 5 min walk. Good check in - although no Priority Club line but only had to wait 2 mins. Corner Room (601) overlooking pitch - hate football so thankfully no games on. Room was very nice, clean and spacious. As an executive room complimentary HSIA - althoug had to phone reception to confirm. LCD TV in room - but like most hotels there have missed the point if you are going to provide a good TV you need a good signal and channel choice. Minor issue but if you are not going to provide a good signal to the TV use a cheap set.
Only ate in the hotel at breakfast - modest selection compared to other HI buffet but sufficient for most people - although lack of servers first thing on 2 days - if I has not paid could have got b/fast for free. Good selection of places to eat at the nearby Riverside centre and supermarket nearby for essentials.
Overall good base if you want to tour norwich by foot (a reasonable but not long walk) and many good day trips by train. Would also be good for a business trip.
