Spent the weekend here, visiting my son, perfect location for city, rooms perfect, food perfect, in fact if your visiting this city it's the best place to go and it won't break the bank. Car park next door no problem they even pay for it for you

My husband and I stayed overnight at duke street premier inn. Parking was free in the multistory and the room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were helpful and the ample breakfast was a real highlight. Perfectly placed to access town and the car parking lasted for a further twelve hours after check out. Would def recommend and use again.

We are regular Premier Inn customers, and accept that these hotels are budget, but usually we get a clean, quiet room and enjoy the food. However Duke St. Norwich was the exception to the rule... The THYME menu is pathetic when compared with the new Table-Table menu, which we enjoyed the night before and found to be excellent.
The room was showing it's age, TV flickered on and off, heating was uncontrollable, and during the night the smell of sewage wafting from the bathroom was disgusting and made us all feel sick, the air conditioning unit (not usually found in these hotels- but obviously needed) was labelled as not working, so we had to open the window on a rainy, noisy, night. Wife fell sick the following morning as we departed and has spent the last 10 days recovering. This is an example where things went badly wrong... we didn't complain as we just needed to get home. Ironically, there was one business user who upon seeing his room, booked straight out.... we should have done the same, enough said.

I have stayed at the premier Inn, duke street, Norwich on many occasions . Always found the staff friendly and helpful and the location spot on. I travel up with my family to visit relatives 3 or 4 times a year and we always stay here. This occasion I had a really bad nights sleep due to noise of traffic and a few late drunk revellers returning to their rooms but knocking on doors as they couldn't find their rooms! As I checked out at reception the staff as always asked if we enjoyed our stay and did we sleep well , obviously I did not and explained the reasons why, no other questions asked and I was given a full refund - they really do keep their promise - well done and I will be using Premier Inn hotels again .

This feels like a more expensive hotel and the staff are top quality. My wife forgot her phone and, since we were already on the train back to London, it was posted to us the same day by special delivery

Excellent budget hotel near the centre of the city would recommend anyone to stay there. The restaurant is very good for breakfast and evening meal.
The only moan is about parking, the hotel has no car park and you have to park in the council multi-storey just up the road, this is free to hotel residents. But beware the ticket you get when you park has to be validated at the hotel reception, what they did not tell me was that when you get to the car park, you have to get the ticket validated again in the car park machine as if you were paying. I didn't as I was not told about the second validation, you only find out when you get to the exit barrier and it won't let you out, the irate drivers behind me were not amused! Luckily the lady in the adjacent car park office came to the rescue and told me it was a common problem with the hotel not telling guests the full procedure.

Nice clean hotel with friendly helpful staff. Only problem we had was the sirloin steak being grisly and fatty, it wasnt worth the money, otherwise the rest of the food was very good. Car park would also benefit by being their own and therefore a bit nearer.
