Fantastic location right in the city centre, but next to lovely riverside walk. Big car park next door that is normally expensive, but free to hotel guests. We checked out at 9:30am but had the rest of the day's free parking in the city. Typically clean Premier Inn. Don't know if we were lucky or this is typical, but we had a bigger than average room for a Prem, including a river view, for the 3 of us.
The only reason this isn't 5 stars is the bar / restaurant (small, not much choice at the bar, 'plastic' food), but there are plenty of good eating places around within 5 minutes' walking time, including an excellent little pub opposite (Golden Star) serving real home-cooked food. Also only 2 lifts (& one out of order when we were there) for a lot of rooms so quite a wait at busy times.More
